  A melancholic masterpiece accompanied by a hauntingly terrifying score that helps accentuate the sense of impending doom and dread that Edgar Allen Poe is so well known for. Jean Debucourt and Marguerite Gance both deliver a performance that is both memorable and bone chilling. The Fall of the House of Usher by Jean Epstein is an adaptation that i would recommend to any avid Edgar Allen Poe aficionado.
