I’m standing before the Almighty and he’s asked me to make the case for movies (if they are good, should they exist, etc), and I say “Your honor, just seven hours of your time and I’ll rest my case”. The angels wheel out a 4KUHD monitor on a cart like movie day in grade school and I put on A Brighter Summer Day and Yi Yi one after another. No intermissions.
I really love to go to to the theater and see the big moving images, but sometimes I don’t like the strangers who have sat down next to me because they mutter little quips to themselves and turn their heads from the screen to look at my face as though I should dignify their interruptions.
