Even from the first seconds The Color of the Pomegranates is a movie that captures your attention with its stunning visuals, its use of colors and surreal compositions not only leave you speechless throughout its whole length, but tell the story of poet Sayat-Nova in a rather subjective way as well. At last, while the plot and the visuals at first seemed abstract abstract and not that coherent, perceiving it as a visual poem and a representation of the poets life through his own eyes, is what made me appreciate the movie beauty and connect emotionally to it.
