  I'd say its a nice sunday flick. Its the nice old classic tale of hope winning against all odds, yet the characters are barely developed or given any sense of likeability except for the comedic reliefs, which really dont go any further than just the occasional (boring) joke. There's also this common trope in pseudoapocalyptic movies where you feel that the movie is ending soon because the characters just realized how to fix the problem only to find out that they need to survive another cataclysm, which gets really old here, and you can feel how the movie isnt ending despite all evidence pointing towards that.
