  Watching this for my Race Relations History Course meant that I was expecting a very serious commentary on the time period. However, I am quite glad this is a Rom-Com as simular to Uncle Toms Cabin as more light hearted assessments of the situation gets people accustomed to more serious commentary later. 
  It was also very entertaining and has that lovely Old Film nostalgia that is good to watch. 
  I dont think the message is progressive enough to survive into…
