Watched at an early preview showing in town. Pretty funny and heartfelt with a historical backdrop I don’t see enough in cinema.

Softly, the current may bend our bodies 2022
Nice little experimental film with beautiful shots of Scotland and Sardinia. That last shot really made me miss the Italian sun.

Rob Roy 1995
For some reason, I only remembered the landscapes of this film and after a short jaunt to the Highlands thought this would be the perfect film to reflect on it.
God. Damn. This film was a bit odd, there was more toilet, sexual assault and dead animals than I remember. Otherwise, as a about the honourable to a fault Rob Roy its quite fun to watch.
Tim Roth has a great performance as the villain Archibald. Whilst Liam Neesons imposing presence could've been used for William Wallace in Braveheart instead.
