  Toni Collette’s acting is genuinely so good, every expression is so apparent and vivid. I was definitely scared, captivated by the plot, and overall was actually a fun watch. Not a big fan of Ari Aster’s cult obsession that he seems to insert into every movie he makes but oh well

  I feel like it had more potential than the outcome itself. I sometimes find myself thinking in my head of ways it would’ve scared me in more yet still holding on to most scenes and the overall outcome. The ending felt like a silly moral of the story resolution which kinda sucked. Essie Davis played great, I liked it, it wasn’t really scary, I was scared of Amelia more than the babadook himself.
