Past Lives 2023
This is one of very few movies that moved me in a way I didn’t know was possible. Drove me to tears in the theater. It is rare to say that a plot can be so specific and complex, yet so widely relatable. You can’t help but stand in the shoes of these very real, very tangible characters. It is, for me, the human experience boiled down into one 2 hour movie that tears your heart out but keeps it beating. Celine Song’s directorial debut should not go overlooked.
