  The film was ok but tbh 70% of the time I felt like I could smell the mud and mould and damp wood through the screen. and everyone just looked musty as hell thank god I wasn’t born in that era in Ireland. Also it was boring.

  I had really high expectations for this film considering all the hype around it… and also because of all the people saying it would make you cry if you come from an immigrant family. 

  Personally I didn’t feel anything at all. As an immigrant it didn’t make me cry either. Maybe it was the cringe humour putting me off a bit - I don’t know. The film itself at least was alright, not the usual type of thing I’d watch…
