i love that whether you're under an intoxication paralysis, or deep in an intellectual mindset you can enjoy this movie just as much. it's an aperitif for living, and an absolute narcan for hustle culture careerism.
"the dude abides" may as well be a religious statement, and exists as scripture for the stoner class of slacker that dwells in america's undergraduate dorms and frat houses. the particular relationship can be fleshed out with the dude's own sentimental remembrance of occupying administration buildings as a college aged idealist. that there's a kind of collective action in aimlessness is reassuring.
