  Dead Poets Society is an English major’s dream. 

  Obviously, I have a special connection to this film as an aspiring educator. There is something to be said about a teacher who can alter their students’ perceptions; who can simultaneously make them think more critically about the world they live in and open it up to endless possibilities. Keating wields academia like a sword of truth and he understands that educations is about “learning to think for yourself.”
