Wicked 2024
Enjoyed it way more than I actually thought I would and I can’t wait for part 2.
Elphaba kind of reminded me of a stop oil protester for some reason. Standing up for noble intentions (the abuse of animals) but taking extreme measures to do this (flying away on a broomstick as a witch).

One Day 2024
I think because I had watched this in film version, I didn’t cry or get super emotional as I was anticipating ‘the moment’.
Nevertheless it was a beautifully crafted series of the trails that is life. When time and circumstances pushes people together and away from each other. It was lovely to watch this depicted on the same day of every year in this series.
As the series depicted so well: “There was yet another date of greater importance...her own death. A day which lay sly and unseen."
A day that is not predicted, nor seen, nor anticipated. The death of us.

As Anne Hathaway is already rich and famous, it makes sense why she can take these roles in movies such as this and I don’t hate her for it.
They really didn’t do well to disguise the fact that this was originally a wattpad fanfic that would use ‘insert your name here’ so that 12 year old us would think harry styles had fallen in love with us because we just weren’t like the other girls. We were different.
