A genuinely beautiful depiction of India that neither villifies it nor purifies it. I wish I knew more about Indian politics to fully grasp the division between Hindus and Muslims but I got the gist. I loved how corporate style religion (think evangelicals) is the source of so much corruption and death but a tradiotional, small-scale style of religion (a temple filled with trans and nonbinary people) heals the main character.
