  “he’s gay, but he has a special connection to classical music… there’s many things that are interesting about him”

  willem dafoe definitely stole the show but this was a wild ride all around!! the story got a bit muddy for me in the middle but the last couple of scenes definitely got things back on track and solidified my interest. super humorous and excessive and irish (though the accents could’ve used a bit more work).

  3 stars purely for the nostalgia! this rewatch made me realize how many parallels there are to a cinderella story with hilary duff.

  second time in my entire life I’ve seen Coraline in theatres. first at 7 years old, now at 21. as soon as i heard they were doing a special two day viewing i had to snatch tickets asap. it was super fun with trivia before and bonus interviews after the viewing. and overall i’m grateful to have seen it thru adult eyes in the environment in which movies are meant to be viewed—in a dark, packed theatre.
