Macunaima 1969
Really weird. Usually in a good way, sometimes not.
Macunaíma is one of those movies that leaves you exhausted. I certainly enjoyed it, but I spent the last half hour-ish waiting for it to be over. Its commentary is blatant, which works well within the film's absurdist feel, but at times I felt like it could've moved to deeper themes instead of just "this guy is horny and is taking advantage of everyone around him".
I do wish more films…

So sick!!
I never gave this series the chance I should have. I watched the first Evil Dead a few years ago, definitely before I should have, and didn't like it much at all.
I got to watch Evil Dead II on a big screen with a group of friends, which is exactly how it should be watched. The humor, camp, and insane monster effects are a blast to laugh at; the film is an incredible time front to back.…
