  Mr. and Mrs. Cruz is a heartbreaking story about heartbreak itself. The film flips the script on the idea of serendipity and challenges the audience to think all throughout the movie: what are the odds? Director Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo finds multiple ways to tell us that timing is everything, and the two leads go back and forth spewing their ideologies at one another the whole movie, which is where the goods in the film are.
