today i woke up this morning to my partner being deeply stressed over classes; me feeling nauseous, i reheated some of yesterday's rice and sat on the couch and thought again about doing my philosophy paper, now a day late. A paper, where i am meant to write a letter on how to love better, to my future self. My nausea would intensify around my jaw every time I leaned up. Every time I stood, stems would weigh me down…

i think this one starts a lot of plot points that it doesn't really finish? there was so much good tension throughout, as well as good scenes (dinner, the lipstick 17/18, etc) -- but the last act was pretty sloggyyyyy idk.

Sons of a bitch, that was some layered horror.

I was really, just truly, enthralled throughout.

So glad after The Dead Zone being my first Cronenberg (one that I was depressingly unenthusiastic about), I got to really get my guts ripped out by what the man is really capable of.

Loved this. Hated to see it, but I loved this.

ALSO: Still, despite everything... Male gynecologists are just a disturbing facet of life. Shit doesn't compute, man.
