  I will gladly see this at the Byrd every two years. Always a packed and attentive audience. Sure there were a couple of hyper-masc doofuses in back that were obviously unironic fans of Daniel Plainview and laughed or cheered a lil hard… but it was fine. 

  I do really love TWBB from start to finish. Paul Dano is such a lil freak… Eli is a great character. 

  I wear earplugs a lot at movies now, but you know I took those babies out when the derrick erupted and Jonny’s score is hittin’.

  What the fck. I can’t imagine spending another two hours in the Byrd seats tonight, but damn I wish I got to see the whole story on the big screen. Thrilling, surreal, quietly funny, maddening… sometimes problematic. Gimme more of most of those things. 

  Alexander was cool af. He said, “I’ll take the cane” and I was like 🫨

  Weird how Fanny & Alexander is really Alexander & a bunch of old fucks.

  So I got too high and had a panic attack after the activation… had to step out for like 5min and breathe. And I loved it. Truly a fuckin’ cool movie haha. I laughed, I cringed, I closed my eyes, I put my hands in front of my face. I was never bored and never disappointed. It is extremely creative and referential in the best of ways. The audio was an assault on the senses. I never felt the 2hr, 20min runtime… good shit y’all.
