Insidious: The Red Door 2023
I’m kinda conflicted. It’s not scary because most of it was cheap horror and it felt as if it had to pad despite its relatively shorter length. But some of it was incredibly tense and the overall storyline was really heartfelt, I cared about the characters a lot.

There’s something to appreciate about how genuine it is. At the time this was THE YouTube movie with some other creators from that time making cameos and collaborating on it. And some of the jokes are still funny even though they’re terrible because they fully commit to them.

The Little Mermaid 2023
Not as bad as people might say it is, but also not anything spectacular. There were about 20 minutes total where I was legitimately engaged. Actor for Prince Eric, Sebastian and Grimsby hard carried. Triton was laughably bad, I could tell they just picked him for the looks. Ariel's new song is a banger, Prince Eric's song is passable, and Scuttle Butt is a war crime. As punishment, Lin-Manuel Miranda should be killed in a gentleman's duel with pistols at dawn.
