Bride of Frankenstein 1935
The definition of a classic, but for me it meanders a little too much. The titular bride is brilliant in every way, but only really is in the last few minutes. Instead we get an outrageous doctor character and a series of weird tiny people?
Anyway the film is bonkers but entire vibe is beautiful and well crafted.

This was an engaging dark fable of unrequited love and desire.
The lovingly detailed circus setting and costumes create a magic atmosphere which swirls around Lon and the other players, with Lon's dedication to the physical aspects of his part a marvel.
