    Going in book-blind must be a roller coaster. It starts off as a romcom, shifts to contemporary romance midway, and somehow ends on the note of social commentary. An important story to tell, but the message is mired by shambolic pacing, mid acting and delivery, distracting costumes, and a rather weird interpretation of nuance. Went in expecting a 0-star, though, but I was rather mid-pleasantly surprised.. 4.5/10

    50 minutes in, I'd hoped we would not be given a verdict. Considering the evidence, the courtroom displays, and the ubiquitous, oh-so-popular adage of defense attorneys 'beyond reasonable doubt,' not to forget the last-minute testimony that sought to tug at the heart of the jurors, it was obvious which way the trial would go.
