Perfect Blue 1997
the pacing is really slow at the beginning which makes it hard to watch, though the high points of tension in the movie make it worth watching. approaching the climax, the scenes become unsettling and more disturbing than the last. considering the time perfect blue was released, the animation does a great job at conveying the sheer fear the characters experience. the dichotomy between reality and fiction is weaved so well that despite it being confusing, was done intentionally for the audience go experience the hysteria the main character undergoes.
