  Had a terrible day but watching this made it significantly better somehow (?)

  Obviously it’s extremely rough, but as a a massive fan of the games, there was enough here to make me think: ‘Yeah, I like these games a lot.’ We got some sick firehawk wings and the emblem at the end so I’m not mad! 

  Was it good? Probably not. But it’s definitely fun like the games! 

  C+ for effort <3

  The Strangers: Chapter 1 2024

  REALLY wanted to like this but it’s a boring rehash of the 2008 original with nothing too interesting happening for the entirety of its runtime. Only notable parts for me are the decent leads and suspenseful but veryyy predictable scenes. Still, it’s serviceable as the starting point for this new trilogy however, the way this film does nothing to stand on it’s own among the other strangers entries, my hopes aren’t too high for the next film being anything other than the same slasher thriller with a new setting that’s set up at the end here.
