  I'm probably dead inside because this film didn't resonate with me in any way, shape, or form. There were some visuals I liked but otherwise it felt very flat to me. For what is supposedly going to be Miyazaki's final film, I expected a magnum opus and for him to go out with a bang, but instead I was personally met with paint by numbers Miyazaki.

  It's extremely funny, great performances all around, does time travel well, etc., etc. It's like a perfect storm of a bunch of shit I love coming together to make a really good film. It obviously has that Netflix Original Movie vibe, but I'm kinda surprised they didn't throw more money at it and give it a theatrical run; I honestly wouldn't have been disappointed had I seen this in theaters.

  I used to go to my grandparent's house a lot as a child, and they had all the premium channels. There was a movie involving kids and vampires that I used to catch snippets of, but apparently had never seen the entirety of.

  All I could remember was a group of vampires sitting in a circle, one of them being a construction worker, and a group of kids running away. This is that long lost movie from my childhood, and…
