  From a film about the complexity of evil to a film about the complexity of assault trauma? Yes. A young woman calling to the world for comfort and being throttled instead? Oh yes. Centering Ellen in this remake was apt for a 2024 version.

  Other thoughts:
  1. This film is about when you have social anxiety and you freak out about meeting new people
  2. Anna about Thomas: "His thoughts are so queer" YES THEY ARE 🏳️‍🌈

  Look, I was simply thrilled to see Black characters surviving and conquering in a sci-fi/horror film deployed through the "nope, I'm out" joke.
