There’s rich and there’s owning a chimpanzee rich. I dream of being the latter.

I’ve really been struggling to keep focused on anything for more than a few minutes recently, but Sunset Boulevard was a fun watch. I love the aesthetic of early Hollywood with its mixture of Mission and Art Deco stylings. Plus movies about making a movies are always really fun in their own aspects. I definitely need to come back to this one when I can more fully appreciate it.

I need to sit on this one a bit more to fully digest everything, but I understand the Oscar wins. Mikey Madison is incredible. Totally didn’t expect that much range from her when I first saw her in Scream 5, but I’m glad that I’m wrong.

The is by far the grossest (non-derogatory) film that I have seen an a fat minute. Such a fun watch! I had expectations going in, but The Substance definitely blew those out of the water. Body horror is such a fun sub-genre that I can never truly grow tired of. I love how uncomfortably up close and personal the camera gets during dialogue. The transitions between scenes are so unnecessarily creative and ingenious. I definitely have more thoughts but not the right words right now, so I’ll probably have to come back later and edit this review, but damn. What a picture!
