    They had me in the first half… but I don’t know. I’m noticing a pattern - people who don’t typically watch horror seem to hype Osgood’s films. I just don’t see it. The concepts and visuals are great, but the execution feels forgettable.

    The world-building in this flick is very admirable. Whoever did the location scouting deserves a huge bonus; what a gorgeous movie.

    Personally, I found the screenplay to be the weakest part of the film. However, this doesn’t ruin the overall experience, as it’s quite easy to follow and allows you to immerse yourself in the equally impressive visuals and sound design.

    There were so many jaw-dropping shots in this film that made me wish there was a pausing function in the cinema. Gareth Edwards is building quite the portfolio for himself. This is a really good movie.
