Loved all of the perspectives this gave. Diving deep on all sides to show how fucking awful it is to have a terminally ill loved one. There's a reason they call it fighting cancer. It's fucking horrible physically and mentally for the sick person and it's a battle for the whole family as well. I think the performances were great. It felt a bit forced towards the end though. Solid film if you want to cry your eyes out though, I know I did.
This movie is a psychological thriller that does a fantastic job of showcasing a dysfunctional family relationship and a dysfunctional teen queer relationship as well. The horror elements are well done and range from realistic to absolutely bonkers. Over all a great lowbudget horror movie with quite a few important themes. I feel like some things can be easily lost in translation but coming from somebody who has watched this 3 or 4 times now, it really hits for me
Disliked intensely. While it had its fun moments I found myself cringing more often than not. I feel like they did an injustice to Lydia's character who had previously been very strong and resilient. They also had little to no in-movie explanation for their potholes. I wish they hadn't made a sequel at all
