Set myself up for failure the moment I decided to start watching this on a Friday night with no prior engagements. Six and a half hours later and I'm ready to throw my TV out the window and sue the creators of the show for damages (both to me and my TV). On another note, the soundtrack was a blast (to my heart), and the performances, cinematography and writing were all phenomenal. Kinda regret having a cat for sole company on this ride though, would've been nice to get a bit more counterpart engagement than the occasional side-eye when I started bawling my eyes out.

Fantastic Planet 1973
This is definitely one of those films where, even if the rather noticeably rapid ageing of the animation might scare off some viewers, you'll just have to suck it up to (at least once) experience the colourful world and truckload of underlying messages and not-so-subtle jabs at the audience presented in these 72 minutes of LSD heaven. Have to question the female wardrobe choices here though, not so much "free the nipple" as it is "(don't) free the sex objects".…
