    Right from the start I could some direct references to the Vietnam War, and when I heard about the mad Colonel it became clear that Apocalypse Now was going to be a big-big influence on this. I think it was a bit much for them to give more explicit reference to that (and some other films), because it felt forced and didn't serve anything.
