  this movie lost me when it tried to convince me that a group of millennials wouldn’t know what an escape room is. also, I hated everyone and I couldn’t wait for them to die.

  While the opening scene to this movie is incredibly gripping and well shot, it meanders until the third act, where it completely falls apart, becoming overly convoluted and needlessly trying to explain itself. I‘m not so much bothered by the cinematography as it‘s mostly well shot for the budget, but the script and especially the acting leave a lot to be desired. I would rate this higher if it wasn’t for the twist, which is not only predictable but also tired, both in its execution and transphobia. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it.
