Simmering with tension the entire way through. A dreary indictment of how might makes right that explores the effects of who gets to wield violence and why. Super interesting to frame it from the perspective of a by the books officer who acts as an audience surrogate of sorts tying to figure out wtf is going on. No fancy action sequences, just the dread of what senselessness might come next.

What a splendid and cute little movie. Watched it in two halves. Love the vibe of a simple story with fairy tale like elements added in. Reminds me a lot of the recent pinnochio movie actually, minus the political parts of that

Delightful  movie. It really is remarkable how consistently this franchise churns out competent and tight scripts that provide a theme and arc to every character combined with a sense of wholesome humor that’s so enjoyable. Goated planting and payoff here, like that Kobe and shaq meme. There’s something to comfortable to a tried and true script outline that executes every time.

Love that they always choose a guest star actor to really ham it up, banderas killed that shit.
