When I was a kid, I was pretty obsessed with Gremlins 2: The New Batch. I liked this one too, but I always considered it boring by comparison, especially since unlike the bananas sequel, this one had to actually be a movie.

My criteria for rating animated movies is pretty much as follows.
-Did I cry?
If yes ---> at least 4 stars
-Was it an ugly cry?
If yes ---> 5 stars

This system isn't perfect because sometimes animated movies aren't meant to make you cry, but I have no time for those types of movies. It also means that sometimes I might end up thinking an animated movie is a masterpiece, when really I was just feeling kind of lousy…
