This is a VERY sweet romantic comedy. Both leads have oodles of charm, as they take us through a retelling of Beauty and the Beast filled with moments of laughter and tears.
I particularly loved the film because it’s an actor’s movie. So much of the humor hits if you’re into theatre.
My favorite film of all time. I think this movie is about as perfect as you can get. It has been foundational in shaping my views on life and in helping me rediscover my faith multiple times.
The film explores coincidence, chance, divine intervention, cycles of sin, and redemption in the lives of many characters in the San Fernando Valley. How it manages to weave these themes through all of the stories and still hold our interest is a testament…
This was an extremely well made film! The acting from Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid was all top-tier. The makeup and effects were top-notch, and the whole idea of the film is just intriguing in and of itself. Great production all-around.
The last act of the film leans into absurdism as it makes its statement, and whether you enjoy it or not will depend on your tastes.
I for one, loved it.
