Possibly the hardest I’ve ever laughed in a movie theater. Felt like I was a kid again on a Saturday morning. It’s a B-movie with the Looney Tunes crew; what more could you want? Bobby took an oxy for his knee surgery during this so I can’t even imagine how much fun he was having.
Please go support this film in a theater! It’s a miracle it wasn’t dumped on streaming to begin with!!

Unfortunately Opus felt like a parody of A24 elevated horror at most points. If it was trying to be that, it is very successful. But I’m not sure it was. It seems to be aiming for the fish-out-of-water daytime terror of Midsommar while also giving us hints of the conspiratorial anxiety in Under The Silver Lake. I, too, would have been sold on the “what if Being John Malkovich had gore” elevator pitch, but not even fine performances from him or Ayo…
