Plain and quite unremarkable feautring a very annoying and unrealistic performance by Kieran Culkin, nothing stands out in this film perhaps apart from it’s themes, which are not expressed cinematically in any way, only through dialogue.
Jesse Eisenberg is pretty good, but his direction lacks any substance, as well as the script, which reads like a formulaic memoir rather than an engaging book.
The story felt very distant to me, and left me feeling nothing.

Interesting film. I’m still trying to unravel the plot to make it more digestible to me and see if I can figure out the themes presented here; but this one left me feeling a little cold at the end.
For the positives, director Park Chan Wook stands out incredibly tall in comparison to other filmmakers; while many films feel really bland nowadays, director Wook gives a masterclass here, knowing when and where to go big and when to be gentle.…

I hate this kind of cynical cold European black humor bullshit. The plot is extremely dull and dumb. The characters are just there without any reason for us to care about them. Every scene just drags without any type of hook to get us involved.
