Fan Girl 2020
The premise itself was the reason why this got into my radar. Sadly, the film doesn’t capitalise on such an interesting dynamic that it had established.
If Jadaone went deeper into the philosophy behind the idol and fan relationship, there would’ve been a much more gripping conflict to explore. Instead, everything feels one-dimensional and all messages, themes, and character development are shown right away which made the rest of the film such a drag.
Also, geez get Paulo Avelino a swear jar. Sometimes excessive cuss words work for a character but in this case, it solidified his one-dimensional character.
