In all seriousness though nobody needs to watch this movie. Every character is an archetype and the dialogue sounds like it came out of an obligatory consent training at a college orientation. Emerald Fennell clearly didn’t listen to the high school English teacher who told her to show not tell. Any solid points this movie might have made are overshadowed by the fact that the ultimate revenge is delivered by a redeemed evil lawyer and some good cops. If you’re really looking to get your fill of trauma porn with a dose of carceral feminism, just stick with an episode of SVU.
