  Rewatched this for the first time since high school and did not expect it to hold up… I was pleasantly surprised. Solid film, and as a Doctor Who girly you know I have a soft spot for Karen Gillan

  I am SAD!! I was so intrigued by the plot of this movie and I was hoping that the Letterboxd average had it wrong… I don’t think it helped that Apple TV somehow managed to not include much needed subtitles for the scenes where only Russian was being spoken (a shame I don’t casually understand Russian, I know) but this movie was based on such a unique concept that just went flat with the dialogue, acting, and overall direction of the film. I hate being so critical but boy oh boy what a swing and a miss here.

  Yeah the writing was bad but I’m giving it 4 stars because Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman deserve some recognition for their performances despite the cookie cutter script. I wouldn’t watch it again, but I appreciated the quality acting from some of the cast
