Robert Pattionson was acting the shit out of this film. The absurdist humour was very hit and miss but I liked it overall. I wish the film had a more focused plot and overall messege though cause it feels like the director abandones a few ideas midway through the movie.

Brody is easily better here than in the Pianist. I was bamboozled cause I felt like even though the runtime is longit felt like I flew through it. I could have honestly watched 30-60 minute more about how Laszló and Erzsébet dealt with the case of rape internally and would have liked to see Guy Pierce's character not just disappear before the epilouge. Brutal film (pun not intended) about aspiration and chances as an immigrant in the vehicle that is America.

A director having a final pilgrimage to meet his idol Jean-Luc Goddard. I'm just going to say it. This man is a shit director and shit storyteller. It's even documentarist styled and he can't even work with that😅

    Feckin Martin cooked again.

Exploring the psychological relationships in the midst of a civil war was a great idea. But the films heart of it was the connection of Pádraic and Colm. I dont wish this for any 2 best friends.

Good thing Colm still has all 5 fingers on his right hand. He can enjoy a pint of Guiness with that any time:))
