Godzilla Minus One 2023
So much better than it has any right to be. I find most "creature features" skew one of two ways: Either the monster is the center of the film and the plot and human characters are shallow OR the monster is almost non-existent and irrelevant. Godzilla Minus One balances both. There's enough Godzilla to make him a relevant plot point, but the story and the character development are almost enough to make a stand-alone, post-WWII Japan drama. Very well done. I liked it a lot.
