I audibly gasped at the very end during the Hugh Grant cameo because duh and this woman flipped her head around and gave me a nasty glare. God forbid I enjoy the absolute whimsical joy of Paddington? That I cannot hold back my feelings when Hugh grant graces the big screen? We need to bring whimsy back to the theatre and collectively enjoying a movie, gasps and all. Paddington in Peru embraces whimsy and joy and so should AMC audiences. I’d like to think Paddington would’ve chuckled at my reaction of delight.

Love or hate this film, I can’t deny I have never seen anything like it. When I thought it could not get any more insane it did, to the point where the whole theatre was dying of laughter during the last 20 minutes.
The film’s message is clear and does a good job of disturbing viewers with the exaggerated lengths Elisabeth will go to to stay young and beautiful and appease the white cis men…
