i went into maxxxine with the prediction that this instalment would be my least favourite of the trilogy and that it would be bad in some ways but fun enough for me to still enjoy. whether or not i willed this opinion upon myself, all of this held very true for me.
wasn’t sold on some of the effects, the “film-like quality” of the young maxine clips, some of the 80s vhs editing, and the fonts for some imo unnecessary…
