I knew Malcom Washington knew ball based on the trailer. You can see the BJenkins, Kahlil Joseph, and Charles Burnett influences (my three 🐐s). What an incredible directorial debut. And I might be a stage to screen junkie now. Thematic gold. Phenomenal performances (as expected with this cast). Deeply deeply built from the hearts of everyone involved (and their ancestors)
The hatred I have for Netflix is stronger than John Cena’s neck cuz this should be a full theatrical release
