Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
i'm not usually a fan of splitting movies into parts but this movie really benefited from this. the first part was all about exposition and the troubles that Evelyn is going through. the second part changes drastically over time to show Joy's battle with her depression-like symptoms. the final part wraps everything in a bow really effectively. overall, i enjoyed EEAAO from start to finish (it was genuinely funny). the hotdogs universe wasn't really as funny as i think they…

Licorice Pizza 2021
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This movie felt like 4 different movies that the audience was dragged along and forced to watch. The main couple has an age gap that is too big to root for them, but the entire movie is set up for you to want them to be together. This idea of a movie making you root for something that you normally wouldn't can be done well, but Licorice Pizza doesn't convince the audience that this relationship is good enough, leaving us to just sit there, knowing they'll be together in the end and not wanted the main plot of the movie to carry out.

The movie has a great mix between amateur and professional shots, with the amazing chase sequence, and the high-school-project-type-riddlerxbatman-facetime. Overall, I loved the riddler, his singing, screaming, and laughing where literally so funny. "LISTEN TO ME…
