Another descending, slow burn from K.G George. It's interesting how what could easily be considered mundane by serial standards, is made into a frustrating and hopeless experience. I was surprised that I could feel bad for both Susheela and Kaimal, it seems like everyone outside of the main four characters are evil (at least used as a reflection of a bad society), and we're left with Balan as our naive protagonist.

Another gem I attribute to Vasudevan Nair and Lalettan's brilliance. This film is incredibly mature, the subtle portrayal and writing of Dasettan leave space for our minds to reflect and even fill in the blanks. I am left unresolved by the end, but I believe that was the point as Dasetta may never find സമാധാനം. His character is slowly developed to a point where I'm hoping there is some way or interpretation where he isn't responsible for Unnikrishnan's death. This…
