Damn, such a powerhouse acting performances by Meryl, Philip Hoffman, Amy & Viola - with their layered acting of extraordinary depth and intensity which masterfully navigate the film’s moral ambiguity and making it no surprise that they all earned their well-deserved Oscar recognitions. The pace is deliberately unhurried, letting the emotional weight of each scene sink in.
