This movie is an apology letter to movie fans from Sylvester Stallone for Rocky IV and V. It plays like an old friend stepping back into your life and making amends for wrongs they have committed in your relationship-making things right so that you can look at the good things in your past and look forward without bitterness and regret.

From the trailer it looked like this would be on par with a bad episode of the Love Boat, a star studded cast barely making an effort and saddled with a weak, predictable script.
Oh what a pleasure to wrong about this movie. Strong performances all around, wonderful dialogue and a story with just enough clues to keep you guessing.
