I thought this was super interesting! I like the 70s horror framing, and how while it follows a lot of the typical tropes, it adds an extra element to them. Ugly/scary antagonist killing sexual deviants, and yet the lesson isn’t celibacy. The “final girl” isn’t the pure virgin.
The jumpscares were fun, but not relied on.
My only complaint was the landslide scene. What da hell I literally felt like I was watching glee.
It’s been a big week for me and Mia Goth I guess.
