Dev Patel. What a feature directorial debut! It takes inspiration from the recent action-thriller genre that has become a big hit with the general public but man does it have its own uniqueness and style.

The camerawork especially was very inspiring and had me saying out loud “wow, that looks awesome!” it’s just such a visually stunning film. The vibrancy of the colours and lighting, adds to its aura that Patel creates.

Peele (Producer) must’ve been a huge help to…

Look. I love Halloween. It's my favourite series and I will watch them many more times. Halloween Ends is... something. From the chaos of Kills it was always going to be lacking in that regard.

I don’t know how I wasted so long not watching this but it’s a banger! Jonah Hill and Michael Cera are so ridiculously funny man that was great.

First 50 minutes were banging and it got a little crazy but some really well done moments that I enjoyed a lot. It became too generic but the cg did look phenomenal. The lighting and colour grading was overpowering but in the right kind of way.

I’d recommend if you like action with horror elements and body horror. It does this extremely well.

    ★★★

Hellhole is a Polish horror film that has a great ambience to it. It captures the feeling of unease and unbridled tension that gives the viewer, in every scene, a feeling of dread.

The story twisted, turned and came out to a point that you wouldn't expect from the surface. It certainly ramps up halfway through and doesn't give you much time to process.

There are some unexplained things which can confuse you. Like a jump scare that's not really…
